Course development

We plan a revision of the course content in the channel coding lecture block, and possibly, the wireless lecture block. The goal would be to reduce the depth on some aspects like density evolution and EXIT charts, and instead, to make room for additional details on Polar codes. From a course design perspective, we plan to abandon parts of the flipped-classroom lectures, and instead, to further develop the continuous examination to activate the students and engage them early in the course. The format of the continuous examination follows the same design as in EQ2310 Digital Communications, and it is proven to deliver learning-centered examination activities that let students develop their skills at the same time as they prepare their assignments. These changes will probably not be implemented all at once; instead, it is foreseen to update the course over 2-3 course rounds.
