Content and learning outcomes
Course contents
One activity in the course is students’ own studies of scientific articles that aim for the students to become familiar with the theory in innovation management and be able to relate critically to academic texts. Students will also analyze internships, individually and in groups, to further deepen the knowledge from read articles and to be able to apply results from research in a practical context. Furthermore, students must formulate and motivate in writing their own insights and analysis results that aim to use the theory in relation to practice, and where students should translate theory into their own texts aimed at a specified target group.
Intended learning outcomes
After passing the course, the student should be able to:
critically analyse and evaluate literature in the area
independently choose literature
orientate oneself about some themes in the field of literature
evaluate the research design with regard to chosen research method and theoretical base
write essays of scientific character
adapt scientific literature to a practice oriented audience and describe in an appropriate way
use scientific literature to analyse problems in practice
bring dialogue about scientific literature in groups
Learning activities
Reading, discussing and writing are main activities in this course, which in combination with active individual reflections are critical learning mechanisms. In order to support these learning acitivities seminars are arranged and deliverables are set up that include individual written reflections and students own analysis and synthesis of scientific texts.
Seminars are mainly taking place during the first study period with the second period left to the students to manage their own work. During this second period supervision slots are scheduled.
Students are also working in a joint project, specificallly in relation to the learning objective regarding adapting scientific literature to practice.

Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.

All members of a group are responsible for the group's work.
In any assessment, every student shall honestly disclose any help received and sources used.
In an oral assessment, every student shall be able to present and answer questions about the entire assignment and solution.
