Human-Robot Systems
The research is in the domain of integration of cutting edge IT technologies in the manufacturing domain.
Our research is done in close cooperation with Swedish and international companies and are active in standardisation efforts both for the organisational dimension and for the information related one. We also work with the idea of the digital factory.
The technical dimension is coupled with the strategic one through the concept of business models. Different aspects of the industrial automation control systems are investigated targeting “plug and produce”: self-organisation, self-learning and dynamic workload control are some outstanding examples.
We have vast expertise in the domain of process and factory planning and it contributes to the emerging paradigm of learning factory. The output of the aforementioned research efforts is conveyed in several related courses for students, from bachelor to graduate.
