Brazil: Brasilia

The Tekla Festival’s second international event was held in Brazil’s capital, Brasilia, 17 – 18 September 2019.

Tekla Workshop

In collaboration with the Swedish Institute and Sweden’s Brazilian embassy, the Tekla Festival’s second international port of call was Brasilia. In the first part of the festival, Heidi Harman, one of the founders of geekgirlmeetup.com , assembled 30 girls from municipal schools for a one-day workshop. Here, as at many Tekla Festivals in Sweden, the participants learned, amongst other things, how to: build dancing robots; code; and, explore technology in various ways.
