Our Public Domain Software
A number of different computer programs has been developed for simulaton of physical, chemical and biological processes at the division. Some of these programs are available as public domain software.
CoupModel
A Coupled model for heat and mass transport for the soil-plant-atmospherre system. The model describes water, heat, carbon and nitrogen for the most common ecosystems. It is based on the previous SOIL and SOILN models.
Visual MINTEQ
A chemical equilibrium model for the calculation of metal speciation, solubility equilibria etc. for natural waters.
WinHumic V
The model is based on the Humic Ion-Binding Model V, originally created by Dr. Edward Tipping of the Institute of Freshwater Ecology, UK, in 1992 WinHumicV combines Model V with inorganic ion speciation, models for Al and Fe oxide precipitation, cation exchange to clay minerals, and adsorption-desorption reactions of fulvic acid.
