Bana Väg För Framtiden
Bana Väg För Framtiden (BVFF) is an industry programme for research, development and innovations in road and railway construction and maintenance. It has an annual turnover of more than € 4 million.
Road2Science is KTH’s node in the BVFF program.
BVFF’s aim is to develop and strengthen relevant parts of the road and railway industry and also to help society meet current and future demands for efficient road and railway infrastructure. BVFF is limited to road and railway technology issues such as construction (road and rail), maintenance (road), and management issues (road and rail).
The intention of BVFF is to associate relevant parts of the industry to the programme, such as contractors, suppliers, consultants, problem owners, providers and funders, who can contribute to achieve the objectives in different ways.
BVFF was founded in December 2011 through an agreement between the Swedish Transport Administration, The Royal Institute of Technology, KTH, and the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute, VTI. In 2012 Luleå University also joined this effort.
Road2Science is KTH’s node in the BVFF program and has been given the mandate to coordinate its activities at KTH. KTH researchers that are looking for taking part in the BVFF activities or would like to learn more about the options, are welcomed to contact Road2Science.
