Based on our long experience of internationalisation we will discuss two relevant questions. Firstly, we notice a substantial increase in the interest in collaborations with Africa, not at least sub-Saharan countries. How can we take advantage of this opportunity? Secondly, international academic collaborations face several challenges due to geopolitical issues and increased concerns regarding national security. How can Swedish universities navigate this new situation?
