KTH Global Development Hub is led by the GDH Director with the support of the Deputy director and GDH team.
Lena Gumaelius, Director of GDH at KTH
I am interested in investigating how we can make engineering and technology education more attractive and accessible to everyone. Currently, my main passion is to work on research questions related to how we can design engineering education so that our graduates are equipped to drive the societal changes needed for a sustainable future. In role as the director of GDH, I have the opportunity to address this issue in an international (African) context as well.
Anders Rosén, Deputy director
As deputy director of the KTH Global Development Hub, I have a leading role in the development of a challenge-driven education concept and in supporting teachers at KTH and African partner universities in implementing such learning approaches. Hereby we are creating conditions for our students to collaborate with eachother and various external stakeholders in Sweden and the African partner countries in projects that are addressing the Sustainable Development Goals in UN's 2030 Agenda.
Susanne Nilsson
My research interests include sustainable product-service innovation and innovation capability development within and between organizations, both public and private. I teach master-level students in courses related to innovation management and product development, and is involved in teacher training for challenge-driven education. In addition, I am engaged in KTH GDH (Global Development Hub) developing opportunities for students to creatively manage complex real-life sustainability challenges in Africa.
Viktor Olsson
I work at KTH Innovation, where we support students, researchers and employees at KTH to turn their ideas and research results into viable and exciting startups. At KTH Innovation, I am responsible for our international collaborations and partnerships, including the Brighter program, bilateral and multilateral strategies towards US, East Africa and Asia as well as other international initatives at KTH.
Erika Svensson Rössner
I work as Senior Adviser of International Projects for the region of Africa at KTH’s International Relations Office (IRO). In this role, I have initiated KTH in Africa – a step towards a strategic work with partners on the African continent. I am is responsible for creating and managing liaising with foreign HEI-partners, innovation hubs, International Relations Office co-partners, local Swedish administration, alumni-groups etc.
Erika Charpentier
I work as an International Advisor at KTH’s International Relations Office (IRO). My work in the Global Development Hub team consists of project leading various externally funded projects, as well as assisting Lena in her role as director of GDH. I also work with Minor Field Studies and KTH Field Studies, student recruitment in Africa and student exchanges in North America.
Anna Hamilton
I am a development officer tasked with working for increased external funding of research at KTH, especially by promoting collaborations between KTH and foundations that support research and education within KTH's field of activity. I can assist with help in connection with the formation of a foundation or as an entry way in case of desired collaboration with activities at KTH.
