How the mentor program works
The KTH Innovation Mentor Program aims to help researchers at KTH in your work to create impact, focusing specifically on commercialization.
Meet six times over six months
Over a period of six months, you will meet your mentor about six times. You will book the meetings yourself, so that they suit you and your schedule. We expect you to be willing to spend time and energy on the program.
A plan to follow
The topic of each meeting is flexible, but KTH Innovation has developed a framework to follow. Potential areas cover creating and implementing a plan for:
- Identifying the problem you want to solve and how your research results or your idea can contribute to the solution
- Developing a business model and finding ways to get feedback from potential customers
- How to build a functioning team
- Your current and future challenges
Parallel support from KTH Innovation
While you work with your mentor, you will also get support from your business development coach at KTH Innovation, who has worked with hundreds of ideas from KTH. The combination means that you develop your project faster and learn more along the way!
Network with other researchers
Take the opportunity to network with other researchers at KTH who are interested in impact, utilization and commercialization. All participants start and end the program together at KTH Innovation's new premises at Teknikringen 1, the new meeting place for innovation at KTH.
