Swedish courses for international students
International students have the opportunity to take one or more courses in Swedish during their studies at KTH. There is also an option of taking a course in Swedish in August, before the start of the academic year.
KTH Language and Communication offers both credit and non-credit courses in Swedish at several levels.
Credit-bearing courses in Swedish
We offer courses that run for an entire semester and intensive courses in June and August. All our courses give 7.5 ECTS.
Credit-bearing courses in Swedish
Non-creadit-bearing courses
For students who cannot take credit-bearing courses in Swedish due to credit limitations, an introductory course in the Swedish language and Swedish culture is offered during a student’s first semester at KTH. After completing the introductory course, the student can choose to continue with two more courses.
