Research co-operation
Our research is performed in close co-operation with industry and public sector to solve real problems and challenges in society. Our researches handle both theoretical and practical problems which often lead to innovations, start-ups or spin-offs.
The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) research areas include applied computer science, smart grids, intelligent transport systems, robotics and AI, secure infrastructure, computational biology, medical science, nanoelectronics, communication theory, media technology and interaction design, IT security as well as speech and musical communication.

There are several research centres and multiple research environments at the school where external partners and researcher have the chance to meet. Besides KTH's strategic partnerships, the school co-operates with organisations of all sizes and is always interested in forming new collaborations.
