Daniel Bernoulli
Daniel Bernoulli (1700-1782) was a Swiss mathematician and physicist.
He worked as a professor in St. Petersburg and Basel. In mathematics, Bernoulli studied, among other things, trigonometric functions and differential equations. His most important work, however, was in theoretical physics. Here Bernoulli did extensive research on swinging strings and the movement of fluids, and established the kinetic gas theory.
Bernoulli made several important medical discoveries.
