Utö Engineered Floating Wetland
The test bed at Utö basically consists of three wetlands representing three different marine environments.
Södra Fladen's Wetland was established in 2012 and is fully developed in terms of water treatment, pike factory and land-based cultivations. In the water outside the wetland, a raft is based that acts as a platform for a floating wetland. Premises are available for laboratories and workshops on the island.
Utö is one of Stockholm's Archipelago's most visited islands with a fully developed infrastructure for accommodation, restaurants, transport and grocery store.
