In WaterCentre@KTH's latest Brown bag lunch, 22 May 2023, Philippe Sauvignet from Veolia talked about methods to reduce micropollutants in water.

Philippe Sauvignet who is the Industrialisation Manager at Veolia joined the company in 1993. He has a wide experience in drinking, waste and process water technologies having implemented them in various forms of contracts in several countries like France, UK, Switzerland, Canada and others.

He presented the industry view of micropollutants fate in the water cycle and specially highlighted the need for appropriate technologies for the removal of Chlorothalonil and its metabolites as well as PFOS and PFAS.

Covering state-of-the-art in treatment technologies for groundwater, surface water and wastewater he touched upon the complexities of treating industrial discharges. The seminar was an opportunity to learn about the industrial water treatment technologies and how the communities are approaching to achieve net-zero discharge for sustainable water usage.

Next Brown bag lunch will be arranged after the summer. Please send us an email if you want to receive a notice when date and speaker are confirmed.
