The student is introduced to the activities and the organisation of the school by spending a longer period at a school. Under supervision, the student participates in the school activities, mainly through teaching and auscultation, but also through participation in other activities such as meetings and conferences. Subjects taught and the type of school should be relevant for the student's future higher education qualification.
During the studies, theory and practice will be integrated, based on experiences, relevant subject knowledge and systematic reflection.
On completion of the course, the student should be able to:
1. under supervision plan, carry out, evaluate and develop lessons based on relevant knowledge in the subject and subject didactics in order to in the best possible way stimulate each pupil's learning and development.
2. observe and analyse pupils' learning and development in relation to the aim of the activities and analyse preconditions to stimulate pupils' learning and development in the best possible way.
3. under supervision, lead teaching and reflect on own leadership.
4. communicate through listening, speaking and writing in a way that is suitable and appropriate in the school context.
5. in various situations, treat pupils and school staff with compassion and respect and a professional approach.
6. communicate and establish the fundamental values of the school, including human rights and basic democratic values.
7. discuss how equality, equal opportunities, sustainable development and ethics can be brought up in the educational activities.
8. analyse own values and attitudes that are significant for the profession and identify and give examples of own strengths and fields of development before the next school placement course.
