Intended learning outcomes

The Fatale literary salon builds upon the idea that the staging of a friendly space creates a particular condition for critical reflection. The form of the conversation, the salon, corresponds to the content, feminist literary spaces. Each salon is structured around a specific theme – A room of one’s own, Barricades, The White House, etc – and an attributed text, from which associations and spatial successions unfolds in different directions. Each salon takes place in different spaces related to the current theme.

  • At least 30 credits' university studies.
  • Documented proficiency in Swedish B and English A or equivalent.

Recommended prerequisites

Previous studies in literature, art, design, architecture and/or gender, or corresponding work experience.

Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.

The course is a part of the course series Arkitektur och genus, which is directed towards a broadly defined feminist target group: for instance students of architecture, planning, design and art, professionals within these fields as well as those in other fields who are interested in architecture.

Supplementary information

In the academic year 2010/11 the course will run on Tuesday evenings starting September 28th and ending June 7th. An updated schedule will be posted at least two weeks before the course begins.
