List of Tracks and Courses

This page is aimed as a guide to see what courses are available when and finding the themes among courses, when in the process of selecting courses and tracks. (we apologise for strange formatting!)

If you have any questions or see any unclarities, please do not hesitate to contact one of the programme responsibles Jarmo <jarmola@kth.se> or Ylva <fernaeus@kth.se>, or the study councellors at <svl-media@kth.se>.

Programme outline The first year starts with a course introducing theory and experimental studies related to the specialisations offered within the programme. In parallel to the introduction students take a course in research methodology required for advanced studies in the field. After this introduction, students choose one of the six specializations that are closely connected to research groups at CSC.

The programme includes 30 credits of compulsory courses, 15 credits within a chosen specialization, 15 credits of conditionally elective courses and 30 credits of elective courses. You can choose from a wide range of courses within Media technology and Interaction design to specialize further within your chosen specialisation or broaden to new areas. The graduation project (30 credits) ends the programme. Across the whole program runs the program integration course, with 1 credit per semester. The graduation project is carried out either within a research group at MID/KTH, or at a company or another research environment working within the field, in Sweden or abroad.
