2021-04-23 - Assessing Learning: Reflections on our research based on the RAE self evaluation report

KTH is going through a self-organised evaluation of research, called Research Assessment Exercise, RAE. (More information in Swedish and in English.)¶


* During the spring, departments make a written self-evaluation
* External reviewer panels visit KTH (remotely) during 23-27 August.
The Department of Learning in Engineering Sciences belongs to Panel 7, together with four other ITM departments. A final draft of the self-evaluation can be found here.¶

Please read the pages about our department (pp. 65-82) and our two impact cases (pp. 110-112). Some questions to reflect on:¶


* What impression(s) does the apartment make in this description?
* What is it that we say and what is it that we don't say?
* How could we improve as a research environment?
* What do we want to be able to say in the next RAE, probably in six years time?
* What are the first steps we can take now?
At the seminar, we will discuss the report and the department as a research environment. It will actually still be possible to make changes, so suggestions for improvements are welcome (without increasing the page count).
