1.4.a Degree Project in Biotechnology
first cycle, third year –15 credits
The course gives the students the opportunity to apply their knowledge and practice engineering approach to develop biotech products/prototypes and to solve reality-based problems by appointing appropriate routes for the manufacturing of a product/prototype. The work is performed independently in teams by planning, exploring, acquiring knowledge, defining technical problems, and judging the possibilities of solving them. Students are also given the opportunity to focus more thoroughly on a specific step in the product/prototype development. Presentations of interim and final reports are also included. In support of the project work modules are included that develop professional communication, entrepreneurship and basic career planning. The students work in teams of four.
