Courses and Course Codes for second cycle degree projects within CSC¶

The degree project always counts as a course, with each course having a course number. ¶

KTH has decided to implement a grading scale of P/F to the degree project, with effect from the Autumn Semester 2015.¶


* For students first registered in 2015 or later, P/F applies.
* Students first registered between 2007 and 2014 will have their degree projects graded on an A-F scale until the end of the Spring Semester 2015. However, with effect from Autumn Semester 2015, they may choose whether to have their degree project graded P/F or A-F .
* DA224X: Degree project in Computer Science and Communication, Second cycle. For masters degree.Students first registered before 2007 can choose whether to have their degree projects graded U/G or A-F until the end of the Spring Semester 2015. With effect from the start of Autumn Semester 2015, the P/F scale will apply.
30 credit degree project with grades A-F¶

CSC has implemented common degree project courses in 'Computer Science and Communication' throughout the entire School. However these are differentiated depending upon the degree programme under which the project will be written. Where possible, we first recommend the following courses:¶


* DA2254X: Degree pProject in Computer Science and Communication, Second cCycle. For combined degrees of Master of Science (civilingenjör) and mastera Master's Degree.
* DA225X: Degree Project in Computer Science and Communication, Second Cycle. For Civil Engineering Master's degree.
* DA226X: Degree pProject in Computer Science and Communication, Second cCycle. For studenter not following as from outside the CSC programme.
Students having started their master studies up until HT14 may alswho began the Master's programme before the end of the Autumn Semester 2014 have the possibility to choose from the folderlowing degree project courses:

* DD221X Degree Pproject in Computer Science, Second Levelwithin COMPUTER SCIENCE, for students on the Engineering Master's programmes
* DD225X Degree Pproject in Biomedical Engineering, Second Levelwithin BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING, for students on the Engineering Master's programmes
* DD226X Degree Pproject in Biological Physics, Second Levelwithin BIOLOGICAL PHYSICS, for students on the Master's programmes in Computational and Systems biology and Systems biology
* DH224X Degree Pproject in Human-Computer Interaction, Second Levelwithin HUMAN-COMPUTER INTERACTION, for students on the Engineering Master's programmes
* DM228X Degree project within MEDIA TECHNOLOGY, for students on the Engineering Master's programmes
* DT220X Degree Pproject in Speech Communication and Music Acoustics, Second Level
within SPEECH AND MUSIC COMMUNICATION, for students on the Engineering Master's programmes
30 credit degree project with G/U¶

Upon starting the degree projects, students who first registered before 1 July 2007 can choose to have their degree project marked on a grade scale of G/U.¶
