Swedish Language Courses

All double degree students should reach knowledge in the Swedish language corresponding to the KTH course Swedish B1/B2. If you have no previous knowledge in Swedish you will have to take four courses (A1, A2, B1, B1/B2) at KTH, amounting to 30 credits (4*7,5 credits). If you have studied Swedish before you may start on a higher level and study less credits of Swedish at KTH. If you have previous knowledge of Swedish you need to do the placement test on the website at the Language Dep. to evaluate your level of Swedish proficiency.

You are also free to choose the course AK1213 Swedish Society, Culture and Industry in Historical Perspective 7.5 credits as an extra course in your Study Plan.

Please note that the Swedish language courses are part of the double degree agreement but will not be part of/listed in the diploma, meaning that the credits don’t count towards your degree nor show on your degree certificate.
