Project

Note - this project is only for ID2206 not for ID2200. As part of the examination, ID2206 has a project or a set of tasks that should be presented at one or more seminar sessions. There are two alternatives to choose from, the first is a quite challenging implementation project that requires that you participate in a set of seminar sessions. The second alternative is to solve a set of assignments and then present them both in written and oral form at a seminar session.

The project This is still work in progress but the intension is that we should implement a small operating system from scratch in Rust. It requires that you're quite skilled programmer and have an interest in learning a new programming language. You should have access to a Linux machine that you have sudo right to and know how to access the BIOS.

The seminar sessions that you should attend are on Thursdays, TCOMK at 8-10 and CINTE at 10-12 (except the last one that is 13-15).¶

* November 17'th
* November 24'th
* December 1'st
* December 8'th
The assignments The assignments will be continuations on the experiments that you have done during the course. I will add tasks that I want you to explore further and report your findings. You need access, preferably to a Linux machine but for most task you will not need sudo rights. You should be able to do them on KTH servers. You need to write your presentation in LaTeX and I will provide a template.

The assignments should be presented at seminar sessions on 13'th and 15'th of December. You will only attend one of those seminars where you give your presentation. TCOMK will have their seminar on the 15'th 10-12.¶
