Exam

On Tue, Oct 29, 8:00-13:00 a written exam will take place. The exam will be designed to test the understanding of the material taught during the course. The registration for the exam has to be done until Mon, Oct 14 under your personal  "My Pages" account.

The exam will consist of two parts (subject to minor changes).

  • Part A: Questionnaire with 16 questions. Each answer will be assessed as correct (+1 point), wrong (-1 point) or no answer (0 point). You pass this part of the exam if you achieve 8 points, including the bonus points, and then Part B will be graded. If you do not pass Part A, then you fail the whole exam (Part B will not be graded).

  • Part B: Problem solving. The problems will be similar to problems in previous exams/tutorials. If you pass Part A, then the grade of the exam (A-F) is exclusively determined by the points achieved in Part B.

Allowed aids for exam:

  • The script “Signal Theory” (without personal notes)
  • Table of formulas in signal processing,
  • EE/KTH Beta Math handbook (sold at KTH book store), or similar (please check with course responsible in advance)
  • Language dictionary if desired (ask before)

Note: Pocket calculators are NOT allowed.

Info about procedure:

You will get paper in the exam. The examination process will be managed by people from STEX who will arrange proctors for the exam. Note that these proctors are not related to the course and simply follow the rules; they check that you are not cheating (they are very good at this!), they remove supplementary material that is not allowed for the exam and unfortunately cannot answer questions regarding the content. However, the teacher and the TAs will regularly come by during the examination, to answer questions. No questions regarding your bonus points in the exam will be answered!
