Detta är en av totalt 4 individuella kurser i datalogi som erbjuds av KTH-CSC. De övriga är DD2463 (15hp), DD2464 (9hp), samt DD2465 (6hp). Syftet med dessa kurser är att, under fria former, ge studenter möjlighet att studera ett område inom datalogin där det inte finns lämpliga kurser i KTHs ordinarie utbud. Det är möjligt att läsa flera av dessa kurser. Vilken kurs man väljer beror på omfånget av planerade studierna och bestäms i samråd med handledare och examinator.
Kursen läses vanligen helt individuellt (ibland kan två eller tre studenter dela på en uppgift) och studenten definierar själv sin uppgift samt hittar vanligen själv en handledare som är villig att sköta den vetenskapliga handledningen av uppgiften. Studenten upprättar tillsamman med handledaren en individuell kursbeskrivning som ska innehålla lärandemål samt typ av examination. Examinator skall godkänna kursbeskreskrivningen innan kursen startas. Betygsättning sker av examinator i samråd med handledaren.
This is one of 4 individual courses offered by KTH-CSC. The other courses are DD2463 (15hp), DD2464 (9hp), and DD2465 (6hp). The purpose of these courses is to a to allow a student to study an area of Computer Science not covered by standard courses at KTH. It is possible to enroll in more than one of these courses. Which course to choose for a particular topic is decided jointly by the supervisor and examinator.
The course is usually completed by a single individual but under some circumstances it is possible for two or three students to do a (partially) joint project. The student is normally expected to find a supervisor that is willing to give the scientific guidance to the project. The student, jointly with a supervisor, is required to make a description of the course. This document should contain the expected learning outcomes as well as a description of the examination. This description should be approved by the examinator before the course is started. The final grading is done by examinator after consultations with the supervisor.
