Course round overview

Course Language

The course will be given by Douglas Wikström. It will be given in English if there is any student that needs it. All course material will be in English. Thus, foreign master students and exchange students can safely choose to follow this course.

Course Content

The course will change compared to the previous year. Details are given in the updated course plan. We will cover all the basic material, but the oral presentation from previous years will be replaced by group work with a given theme and the oral exam may change in form.

Prerequisites

You need to understand basic Abstract algebra, Combinatorics, Probability theory, and complexity theory, but we will cover most of it briefly in class.

Regarding Recording Equipment

On KTH campus it is illegal to record audio or video of any lectures without the lecturer's explicit permission. This applies to all recordings, even those for your own use.
