Welcome to the Biocatalysis course at KTH!
Understanding enzyme catalysis is a foundation for Industrial biotechnology. Enzyme catalytic processes are thus becoming more and more important for sustainable chemical production in industry. This course provides both an overview of industrial biocatalysis and an in-depth study of strategies for improvement of the reactions. The course contains lectures and a research project assignment. In this research project, you are planning your laboratory investigation yourself, based on your own interest. The research projects are presented to the class in seminars at the end.
