Description A team project on various topics of GIS and its applications with emphasis on acquisition, mining, analysis and visualization of geographic data. This year, students will have the opportunity to work with Project Leaders from Sweco on two very exciting real-world projects from Sweco, one on climate change induced forest fire risk assessments, and the other on solar farm planning.'. Guest lecturers from Swedish GIS industry and governmental organisations are invited to present relevant GIS projects and activities in their organizations. The course is composed of lectures, seminars and project work.
Aim
Students shall develop their skills to plan and carry out a GIS project as a team where focus is placed on project planning, project leadership, problem solving and the realization of a real-world GIS project.
