About me
Yves Hsieh graduated from the School of Biological Sciences, University of Auckland, New Zealand. His final year project was supervised by Professor Philip Harris and involved the structural analysis of xyloglucans. He then worked under the guidance of Prof. Chi-Huey Wong and involved in the carbohydrate-based vaccine discovery program. In 2009 Yves undertook his PhD at the School of Chemistry, the University of Sydney, under the supervision of Professor Richard Payne. His PhD research entailed the chemical synthesis and structural evaluation of glycopeptides and glycoproteins. Yves completed his PhD in November 2013, and moved to the University of Adelaide under the guidance of Prof. Geoff Fincher. Here, he is involved in the structural and mechanistic studies of carbohydrate-processing enzymes. In 2016, he moved to KTH, Sweden, where he is currently an Associate Professor specialized in carbohydrate engineering within the Department of Chemistry, School of Engineering Sciences in Chemistry, Biotechnology and Health (CBH).
