Umar Farooq

Umar Farooq is a graduate research assistant in the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. His research work focuses on CFD numerical simulation of two-phase flow condition for safe design of dam spillway.

Umar earned a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from SUIT University, Pakistan, in 2016, and an M.S. degree in Civil/Hydraulic Engineering from Tianjin University, China, in 2019 under CSC scholarship.

In addition to his research, he is a professional engineer with over three years of experience in designing of mini/micro hydropower, water management,  landscaping and land surveying projects.
