About me
I am currently focusing on studying ion-specific interactions at charged interfaces from a molecular perspective. The goal is to gain a deeper understanding of the molecular-scale interactions between water, ions, and charged surfaces. This understanding is crucial for explaining and predicting the macroscopic properties and functions of these systems, which often rely on interfacial behavior. To extract molecular information from the interfacial region, I use an advanced non-linear optical technique called vibrational sum frequency generation (VSFG) spectroscopy. VSFG is an intrinsic surface-sensitive technique, and it achieves a spectral resolution of around 1 cm^-1 in the SFG system at KTH.
