Tianqi Ruan

I'm a PhD Candidate at the School of Industrial Engineering & Management (ITM), Department of Energy Technology (EGI), division of Heat and Power Technology (HPT).

Background

I'm with multi-disciplinary background. I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Geographic Information Science (GIS) at Zhejiang University, China. Then,  I finished my Master program in sustianable technology at KTH. The master thesis focused on techno-economic analysis of concentrating solar power system with thermal enegry storage.  Afterwards, I started my PhD at KTH.

At KTH

The research interest is mostly in distributed renewable energy system and sustainable development transitions. The focus of my PhD research is urban decentralized PV systems in a Swedish context. This research contributes to local renewable enhancement with affordability with current growing pressure from climate change. I hope the research could help with future energy distribution prediciton and planning.
