Saumey Jain

Saumey Jain received a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Biotechnology from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, India in 2017 where he worked on the development of an optical biosensing platform with Prof. Jitendra Satija at VIT and Prof. V.V.R. Sai at IIT Madras. He was awarded the M.Sc. degree in Nanotechnology from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden in 2019 supported by the J.N. Tata Endowment Scholarship. He completed his master thesis working on extended gate biomolecular sensing with Prof. Jan Linnros and Dr. Apurba Dev. He also received a Student Research Fellowship and was a visiting student at ICFO – The Institute of Photonic Sciences in Barcelona studying immune cell migration in SLN Group with Dr. Stefan Wieser.

Currently he is a Ph.D., Candidate in the division of Micro and Nano Systems of the school of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at KTH working on nanopore and nanogap based biosensing and sequencing methods supervised by Assoc. Prof. Anna Herland,Dr. Shyamprasad Natarajan Raja, Prof. Frank Niklaus, Prof. Göran Stemme under the Vetenskaprådet funded QuantumSense project.
