About me
I am since July 2022 the Dean of faculty at KTH. In that role, I lead KTH's Faculty Council at KTH together with the vice dean of faculty Anna Finne Wistrand. The Faculty Council is an advisory to the Rector in quality and ethics issues, responsible for the quality system and for collegial anchoring of management issues among teachers and researchers at KTH.
In my role as a researcher and teacher, I have the privilege of being a part of the Department of Machine Design - a dynamic institution with a variety of people and subjects. We perform research and teaching in product development in its broadest sense: from physical phenomena in technical components to the management of large organizations.
My own research is about how to create innovation capability in organizations. Issues that are of particular interest to me in this area are how to integrate sustainability issues with strategic business development issues and how to enable organizations to be both effective and innovative. Our research in this area has since several years a specific focus on the transition to a circular economy. I have the privilege of working with different types of organizations on these issues: industrial technology companies, small and large, government agencies and retail companies. I also research circular economics - which I regard as a model in order to integrate sustainability issues and business issues in a constructive manner. In addition to my research, I teach in Innovation Management and Product Development Processes - a fantastic stimulating work.
