About me
I am a Phd student at the Division of Electric Power and Energy Systems in the field of electricity markets and specially working with hydropower modelling. Due to the complexity of river system, it is necessary to aggregate hydropower stations into a so-called “equivalent system”. The questions that I will answer during my project are:
-
Which parameters are important in determine a good equivalent system?
-
How to improve the equivalent formulation?
-
How will new environmental constraints affect the equivalent system?
My supervisor for my ongoing studies is Professor Mikael Amelin.
I have received my BSc. degrees from the University of Aachen (RWTH) in 2018. During my Master, I attend the double degree program from KTH and RWTH where I studied for three semesters at both universities and graduated in 2021. After that, I worked for about 1.5 years at Vattenfall AB with short and long term price forecasting. This gave me an insight not only into modelling, but also into practical application and market behaviour. It also provided me with practical experience of how the hydropower system works in Sweden, which gave me a lot of background knowledge for my PhD studies.
