Qingchen Tang

I have pursued a tumultuous love affair with bridges, with the expertise in dynamics of the complex and coupled train-bridge system, vibration control of bridge structures, and finite element analysis of steel-concrete composite bridges.

Gradually, I became interested in sensors and Internet of Things (IoT) for better signal acquisition and processing. Now, my Ph.D. project focuses on edge computing and dense low-cost sensing for early damage detection of bridges, aimed at developing a reliable and cost-effective tool in better decision-making for bridge's safety. In addition, I am willing to have international and multi-disciplinary collaborations to slove more prolems in bridges.
