About me
I'ma PhD Candidate and a critical design researcher at EECS / MID focusing on sustainability and ethics of Creative AI/AI arts, with a background in Human-Computer Interaction and Design for Change. My recent research work has included more-than-human and feminist environmental post-humanities inquiries on AI arts, as well as studies on culture, materiality, and imaginaries of environmental sustainability in the context of AI arts. For example, my recent studies have focused on using speculative methods to explore more-than-human design of Creative AI and studying socio-technical imaginaries, aiming to understand the values that get embedded into the design of these technologies. Current research interest lies in critically examining the ethical underpinnings of AI art technologies and diversifying the values engaged in constructing their technological-material-cultural futures, particularly beyond the human toward more-than-human.
I'm primarily part of the Creative Media Technology (CMT) team but also involved with Sustainable Futures Lab (SFLab) through the sustainability angle of my PhD research.
I'm actively supervising Master theses in Creative-AI + AI art, see the available projects here.
