M.Sc. in engineering physics 1979 and Ph.D. in space physics 1997 from KTH. Research Scientist at the division of Space and Plasma Physics since 1980. Head of the division of Space and Plasma Physics December 2017 - May 2019. Part-time retired since June 2019.
Involved in electric field instruments on many Swedish and international space missions, such as Viking, Freja, Astrid, GEOS, ISEE, Cluster, and MMS, with particular focus on measurement quality and data analysis. On Cluster, launched 2000, Chairman of the Wave Experiment Consortium and responsible for the Scandinavian Centre of the Cluster Science Data System. Swedish Lead Co-Investigator for the Spin Plane Double Probe electric field instrument on the NASA MMS mission, launched 2015. Research interests include spacecraft-plasma interactions, electric field measurement techniques, reconnection physics, and auroral acceleration processes.
Author or coauthor of about 240 refereed and 40 non-refereed papers.
