About me
I'm Filippo, a PhD Candidate at the School of Industrial Engineering & Management (ITM), Department of Energy Technology (EGI), division of Heat and Power Technology.
Background
In March 2018, I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Energy Engineering at the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna, Italy. Then, in August 2020, I completed my Master's Degree in Sustainable Energy Engineering at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. My Master's Degree project focused on the techno-economic assessment of delivering sustainable energy transition to remote communities of the Northern US.
At KTH
After receiving my Master's degree, I worked as a Research Engineer at the Department of Energy Technology (EGI), focusing on smart and sustainable buildings and heat pump technology. Then, in September 2021 I started my PhD.
The overall aim of my PhD project is to study the technical, economic, and social advantages of energy communities in the cities of Stockholm and Örebro. My research includes several topics such as smart electricity networks, distributed energy technologies, shared energy, flexibility markets, and energy policy.
