About me
Ove Bayard works as a teacher and is lecturer, course responsible and supervisor in various courses at the Department of Production Engineering (IIP) within the School of Industrial Engineering and Management. He is also one of the coordinators of the department's international Master's program in Production Engineering and Management. Ove's main areas of interest in research are metal cutting, learning methodology and models for knowledge transfer.
Ove joined the department in 1995 and has a Doctor of Philosophy degree in the subject area Production Engineering and a Licentiate degree in the subject area Materials Processing. When he began his PhD studies at KTH, Ove had a degree of Master of Science in Metallurgy and Materials Technology from the School of Materials Technology at KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
Projects
Ove has been assisting in the coordination of the LdV (Leonardo da Vinci) project EPRODEC (European Production Engineering Certification). He has been responsible for the preparation and evaluation of a course package designed for VET (Vocational Education and Training). Ove has a genuine interest for activities related to learning methodology and especially how these can be used to form flexible systems for students working in industry. Ove has been active in the pilot project Production-ERFA given by KTH. He has had a leading role in the LdV project ETM (Experience Transfer Model) coordinated by KTH, participated in the LdV partnership project IESE (Industrial Engineering Standards in Europe) and also been active in a Nordplus project focusing on tailor made education.
