Michelle Toinette van Ardenne

Michelle is a PhD candidate at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, specializing in the personalization of passenger information systems in public transport. Their research, conducted in collaboration with Stockholm's local public transport operator (SL), aims to define how public transit systems deliver personalized information to passengers.

The focus of their work involves a twofold approach: first, systematically exploring and defining the concept of personalization within passenger information systems; second, leveraging these insights to guide stakeholders in the development and implementation of personalized passenger information systems that enhance the travel experience. This research bridges academia and practical applications, contributing to innovative solutions that improve public transport services in Stockholm and beyond.
