Wastewater is a resource mine under discovery! To obtain these resources we just need to design new processes that will shift current wastewater treatment methods to allow resource recovery! 
I believe microorganisms can be key players in this change and so my research focus is the design of synthetic mixed cultures to bioaugment mixed microbial communities for enhanced volatile fatty acids production from blackwater.
