About me
Michele D. Simoni currently serves as an Assistant Professor in Transport Systems Analysis. Michele’s main research activity is currently focused on modeling and optimization of advanced transportation solutions based on the most recent communication and automation technologies. He received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (’19) with a specialization in Transportation at the University of Texas at Austin. He completed a related M.Sc. degree (’13) at Delft University of Technology (The Netherlands), where he also worked as a researcher at the Department of Transport and Planning. He holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering (’11) from the Polytechnic University of Milan (Italy). Before joining KTH, he was a Postdoctoral Associate at the Center for Transportation and Logistics (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).His research interests include modeling and optimization of last-mile freight transportation, analysis of transportation policies, and traffic flow simulation.
