Javier Kipen

I am a Ph.D. student (Doktorand) at the Division of Information Science and Engineering (ISE), supervised by Professor Joakim Jaldén. I received my 5-year degree in electronic engineering, specializing in signal processing, from ITBA (Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires) in Buenos Aires, Argentina, before commencing my Ph.D. studies in 2021.
My research focuses on applying signal processing and machine learning methods to nanopores, nanogaps, and some single-molecule protein sensing technologies. These technologies have immense potential in fields such as medicine and biological research. Furthermore, I am part of the QuantumSense project, a collaborative effort to develop next-generation DNA sequencing technology based on quantum tunneling (https://play.kth.se/media/QuantumSense/0_dfyivch4).
