Kasumi Sakurai
About me
Kasumi Sakurai received a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology (Institute of Science Tokyo, 2024/10~), Tokyo, Japan in 2021. She worked on the fabrication of multi-layered graphene by physical vapour deposition for her Bachelor's thesis under the supervision of Professor Naoto Ohtake and Professor Hiroki Akasaka. She completed her Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology (Institute of Science Tokyo, 2024/10~) in 2024. During her Master's degree, she carried out exchange study at KTH and won tobitate scholarship from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. Her master's thesis was about the fabrication of graphene and hexagonal boron nitride by physical vapour deposition. Also, She worked with Professor Atsuko Kobayashi from Kochi University in Japan on LabVIEW-based software development.
Currently, she is a PhD student in the division of Micro and Nano Systems, School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at KTH. Her research focuses on Nanopores and Nanogaps.
