John Berg

I have a PhD in history and history didactics with sports heritage as my main research interest. My doctoral thesis was about how Swedish sport is constructed as cultural heritage in sports museums. After my PhD, I have continued in the field and currently work here at KTH as a project researcher within Mistra Sport and Outdoors. My research project is about how the cultural heritage of sport and outdoor life can be understood in terms of ecological sustainability.

I have also published research in the broader field of sports history.

In the autumn semester of 2024, I am responsible for the Higher Seminar at the Division of Historical Studies of Technology, Science and Environment.
