James Hamilton is an American architect and maker. He practices in Stockholm, Sweden and has an extensive knowledge of the prefabricated timber industry. He has worked with some of Sweden’s largest manufacturers on material and design development of untreated timber façade systems. With a degree from The Cooper Union James has worked for both architecture and design / fabrication studios in New York, Australia and Sweden. James is a co-founder of the Stockholm based collaborative practice AT - HH and of the Hannes Meyer Foundation, a non-profit research group dedicated to archiving and creating work that develops Hannes Meyer’s ecological, political and architectural principles.
