About me

Particular areas of my research interest include smart safety-critical embedded systems, mechatronics, robotics, systems of systems, cyber-physical systems and Internet of Things (IoT). I look into dependability, fault tolerance, security and safety aspects of these systems, in connection to hardware level, operating systems, systems architectures and development processes, as well as self-awareness and artificial intelligence of these systems.

I am the Management Committee (MC) member of EU COST Action on hardware security, TRUDEVICE, and was the MC member of MEDIAN, COST Action on dependability. I am presently representing Sweden in TRUDEVICE. I am also the Short-Scientific Mission (STSM) coordinator in TRUDEVICE and was the vice-leader of Dependability in Transportation WG in MEDIAN. 

I am currently leading ICES Competence Group in Autonomous Systems Architectures and Platforms (ASAP), as part of ICES (Innovative Centre for Embedded Systems) network at KTH.

My current research project is FUSE (project on functional safety for autonomous vehicles, where I am involved into WP3 "Autonomy Architectures" and work with Volvo Cars, Qamcom, Comentor, Semcon and SP Institute).

I have co-organized several workshops and special sessions on dependability at conferences (for example, at DATE and ETS) and took part in several TPCs. I am currently TPC member for Design, Automation and Test in Europe (DATE) Conference (topic T4 On-Line Test, Fault Tolerance and Robust Systems).

I have been also acting as a reviewer for IEEE Trans. on Computers, IEEE Trans. on VLSI, ACM Trans. on Embedded Computing Systems, IEEE Trans. on CAD and IEEE Trans. on Industrial Automation.

I am IEEE Member and ACM Professional member.
