I am working on a PhD project that aims to support maritime decarbonization by integrating Digital Twin (DT) technology into ship design, with a particular focus on wind-assisted propulsion. As part of this project, I will develop a DT model to serve as a testbed for optimizing future ship design and performance. To test and validate the DT model, I will use experimental data obtained from a 7-meter ship model, with the ultimate goal of providing insights into the role of DT technology and wind-assisted propulsion in achieving decarbonization.
