Om mig

Dr Harish is currently a researcher at the KTH-Royal Institute of Technology focussing on building fiber optic components for cancer theranostics. His research interests are in the new and emerging field of Multifunctional Fibers for Life Science Applications. He has more than 4 years of research experience in building optical fiber components for biomedical applications.

Ongoing projects he is working on are:

  • Fiber for Life: Multifunctional fiber for Cancer Theranostics, a large collaborative project between, KTH, Karolinska Hospital and Stockholm University.
  • Multifunctional Fiber Optics (Funded by Knut and Wallenberg Foundation)
  • All-Fiber Mirofluidic Cytometer: Using optical fibers to build low-cost, sensitive micro-fluidic cytometers
  • Coronavirus detection by droplet encapsulated LAMP in a lab-in-a-fiber device

Dr Harish received his PhD in 2017 from Optoelectronics Research Centre (ORC), University of Southampton, Southampton, U.K. His work in PhD mainly includes suppression of stimulated Brillouin scattering in high-power optical fiber amplifiers, mitigation of thermal mode instability in fiber lasers, advanced optical modulation, and nondestructive testing of structures using fiber Bragg gratings.
