About me
I am an assistant professor in machine learning for computational biology at KTH Royal Institute of Technology and a SciLifeLab fellow. I am particularly interested in using ML techniques to enhance our understanding of cellular behavior and interactions. My research focuses on integrating diverse data types, such as microscopy images and omics data, to simulate and predict biological processes, ultimately improving disease diagnosis and treatment. I am also a member of the BioImage Informatics Facility and the Imaging Program of the Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative.
In 2019, I obtained a joint Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, and in Applied Biological Sciences from Ghent University, Belgium. I have a keen interest in the intersection of computer science and biology, and I have been working on multidisciplinary research projects in the biomedical field involving computer vision, machine learning, and data analysis.
